The UKHO has licensed several commercial companies to distribute updates to Admiralty Products direct to vessels at sea. These Electronic Couriers, or Value Added Resellers, supply customised correction datasets related to a vessels' portfolio of Admiralty Charts and Publications. The datasets are derived from the Admiralty digital files which can be found on the UKHO website.

These companies do not deal directly with the end user, but work together with Admiralty Chart Distributors to supply electronic updates for paper charts and publications to enhance the one-stop shop concept for Admiralty Charts and Publications. These Electronic Courier Services are designed to assist ship owners and masters in the management of chart and publication folios in the application of International Safety Management Codes.
